What happens when our doors open? What do participants do? Click the photos to enlarge.

Director Stacy Berg explains how to use the Open Door Journal.	During morning observation time participants are in the classroom with the children.	Participants watch a teacher work with a small group of children in the studio.
The room darkens, candles are lit. As children particpate in Godly Play participants move to the side to unobtrusively observe this special time.	Participants learn about the assessment systems by examining children's portfolios.	The study of documentation is an important part of Open Door. Here participants see "raw" documentation of the ongoing corn project.
Published documentation (organized, edited with reflections) from the year is available for study in the Documentation Hallway.	Noon dismissal of children enables teachers and staff to interact with participants.	Participants choose small group seminars to tailor their Open Door experience to their own learning needs.
The seminar "Bloom Where You Are Planted" includes a visit to the classroom to discuss changes made in the environment.	The Resource Room is a favorite place for participants to connect with others.	Books and resources for sale in the "store" enable participants to continue the learning at home.
